DAY ONE:

(ii) Seborrhoeic Dermatitis

A very common, chronic dermatitis with a very distinctive morphology and distribution (red, sharply marginated lesions covered with a greasy scales) affecting areas rich in sebaceous gland such as the scalp, face, upper trunk, axillae and groin. The simplest form of seborrhoeic dermatitis is dandruff. Excellent results can be expected when the correct formulation of herbs is prescribed.

(iii) Stasis eczema:

Also known as varicose eczema or gravitational eczema. This common and persistent disease of the elderly affects the lower limbs and arises as a consequence of varicose veins and subsequent venous hypertension.

DAY TWO:

(i) Nummular Eczema

 

A very frequently encountered disorder characterised by disc or coin shaped areas of clearly demarcated, itchy patches of acute, sub-acute and chronic eczema.

Nummular: before treatment.

Nummular: after 9 weeks treatment.

(ii) Pompholyx Eczema

Also known as dyshidrotic eczema. A remarkably persistent and debilitating eczema of the palms of the hands and soles of the feet. A very satisfying disease to treat because of the excellent results hat can be achieved.

Pompholyx: before treatment.

Pompholyx: after 14 weeks treatment.

DAY THREE:

(i) Lichen simplex

Known as "Ox skin" in Traditional Chinese medicine. It is a condition characterized by a persistent, usually asymmetrical thickening (lichenification) of the skin. It is amongst the most pruritic and recalcitrant of the common dermatological diseases.

 

(ii) Rosacea

Also known as acne-rosacea. A frequently seen disorder in those in their 30’s and 40’s, characterized by eruptions of acne like pustules, telangiectasia and erythema across the face & nose with frequent bouts of flushing.
