Changes at Avicenna

Avicenna is going from strength to strength, and our efforts to bring you the very best in Chinese Medicine, combined with health preservation and lifestyle advice must be reflected in the increasing numbers of discerning and satisfied patients who entrust their well being into our care.

Success brings change, and we are currently implementing plans to restructure the clinic to further benefit our patients.

This means new services and welcoming new practitioners to the clinic, details of which you will find below.

In response to the pressures of his work schedule and the high demand for appointments with Mazin Al-Khafaji, he is taking on promising new practitioners under the long awaited Associate Clinician Scheme.

This Scheme will offer a fantastic opportunity to especially chosen and experienced practitioners (minimum 5 years clinical practice) who successfully studied under Mazin Al-Khafaji. They are trained in specific treatment modules and will work under close supervision through a three-stage clinical development program at Avicenna.

Most importantly for you, this scheme is designed help to ease the pressure on the waiting list, as we understand that patients with acute conditions are in need to be seen immediately and diagnosed at the earliest opportunity.

All clinical assessments will be checked and supervised if necessary by Mazin Al-Khafaji, and referred to him if required.

There will be more news to follow but in the meantime we have implemented an Immediate Treatment Pledge for patients who rebook with Dr. Al-Khafaji with a recurring condition:

As a patient with previous consultations at Avicenna you will take priority when re-booking.

Due to high demand for appointments with Mazin Al-Khafaji and his associates, the first available date can sometimes be a while away and we understand the distress of a recurring condition.

In this situation, as long as you send in a detailed description of your condition to reception@avicenna.co.uk , in which you clearly state all presenting symptoms, we can usually start the treatment process immediately.

We guarantee that we will get back to you as soon as possible and if applicable send out a personal prescription within 7 days.

It is still essential to follow this up with a personal consultation and the earliest possible appointment date will be made available to you at the time the prescription is sent out.

We hope these changes will improve our intake procedures and would like to extend a heartfelt thank you for your trust and continued support!
