Ying Fan graduated as Doctor of Chinese Medicine from the prestigious Beijing University of Chinese Medicine. Subsequently she gained an additional Master of Chinese Medicine in both Western and Chinese Medicine Dermatology, and has been the recipient of several scholarships and awards.
Over the last 7 years she has undergone rotation in several specialist departments at Guanganmen Hospital in Beijing, China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences. Specialisations include emergency outpatients, Acupuncture, Tuina, and Gynaecology, as well as in-patients of Cardiovascular & Respiratory disease, Nephrology, Endocrinology, Oncology, and Gastroenterology.
She brings a wide and practical skill set to Avicenna adding a range of dermatological treatment options apart from Herbal prescriptions. These include facial Gua Sha & ‘fire needling’ (a method of treating a variety of recalcitrant skin conditions, such as herpes zoster, post-herpetic neuralgia, lichen simplex, persistent pruritus etc).
